In the column “cause of accident” it now reads: “CAT”. Sevastopol police clarify
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Sevastopol police are clarifying the details of the accident on the Yalta-Sevastopol highway that happened on January 4. Here is a video from the scene.
Previously, it was said that a 33-year-old driver, driving a Mercedes Benz, incorrectly chose a safe speed, lost control and drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a BMW X5 driven by a 39-year-old driver , who was moving straight in his lane in the opposite direction.
As it turned out, one of the reasons that provoked the loss of control over the car was the sudden fear of the cat in the Mercedes Benz.
The pet was transported without a special device, the so-called carrier, so at some point it rushed at the driver and thereby distracted him for a few seconds, which was enough for him to drive into the oncoming lane and cause an accident. Fortunately, neither the vehicle drivers, nor the passengers, nor the furry “culprit” of the traffic accident, the cat, were injured in this accident.— said the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
In any case, answer the owner. In relation to the driver who violated the traffic rules, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate compiled administrative material under Part 4 of Art. 12.15 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the rules for positioning a vehicle on the roadway, oncoming traffic or overtaking.”
The Sevastopol police urge drivers to transport their four-legged passengers responsibly, because without knowing it, they can cause serious accidents on the road.
