CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Crimea, the police revealed a distribution channel for alcohol-containing products hazardous to the health of consumers.

In the Republic of Crimea, employees of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Feodosia have identified a distribution channel for potentially dangerous alcohol. As a result of a test purchase, alcohol-containing products were purchased from a local resident, which, according to the results of the study, was recognized as of poor quality and dangerous to the health and life of consumers— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

The police searched the place of residence of the seller of counterfeit alcohol and seized 50 liters of alcohol, cognac and wine, as well as a device for screwing corks into bottles, an alcoholometer, empty plastic and glass containers, corks of various types, chemical liquid reagents for the manufacture of various types of alcoholic products. The seized was sent for research.

It was preliminary established that this citizen, together with an accomplice, without a special permit (license) for the circulation of ethyl alcohol, carried out the sale of strong drinks, which they purchased from a supplier from the Kirovsky district of the Republic of Crimea. Law enforcement officers found and confiscated 430 liters of alcohol and cognac from him. Samples of seized products sent for examination— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

Based on the materials collected by the police, in relation to three suspects — local residents aged 31, 37 and 57 years — the investigating authorities initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 238 UKRF.
