In the Crimea in the pond of Massandra Park, unknown people poured a toxic fluid

Information was received that unknown persons were spilled to the surface of the pond in the Massandra Park, which outwardly resembles oil refining products. This information has arrived at the site of specially protected natural territories of the Republic of Crimea— said the ministry.
In the pond, two empty five -liter plastic containers were also found, in which there was a spilled liquid. Previously, the volume of a spilled substance is about 10 liters. Now fluid samples are collected by the police and sent for examination, specified in the Ministry of Ecology. The Crimean Directorate of the TASS Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that the police went to the place of the incident, and now the employees are being checked.
Immediately after the detection of the spill, employees of the management of specially protected natural territories of the region cleaned the pond, and its surface and stones around were treated with a sorbent.
Massandra Park is a specially protected natural area of regional significance of the Republic of Crimea. In the spring of 2024, the state contract for the overhaul of the park was concluded with the only supplier of SK Progrestroy for 232.8 million rubles. Initially, it was reported that the repair would be completed before the end of 2024, but later the deadlines were shifted in the spring of 2025.
