In the Crimea, on the basis of the Aktash oil field, firefighters conducted exercises

In order to work out actions to eliminate a fire at an oil-producing enterprise, firefighters from the Fire Department of the Republic of Crimea took part in fire-tactical exercises held on the basis of the Aktash oil field (Leninsky district). Employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, emergency medical services and the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Water of Crimea» also took part in the exercises.
According to the legend of the training, as a result of a violation of fire safety rules during the repair and restoration work on maintenance of tanks No. 1 and 2 with a volume of 100 cubic meters, an explosion of the vapor-air environment occurred inside the tanks. This, in turn, led to the destruction of the walls and the spillage of oil products from the tanks inside the embankment over an area of 300 square meters. meters, followed by fire, which created a threat of fire and explosion of tank No. 3. The evacuation of personnel was carried out by the administration of the enterprise— said the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
Firefighters from the PChilkino city of the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea» consisting of 6 people, as well as employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea, immediately advanced to the scene of the simulated incident. Upon arrival, the link of the gas and smoke protection service of the fire department in individual respiratory protection equipment and heat-reflecting suits promptly carried out a combat deployment and performed the supply of two “B” barrels to cool tank No. 3. As a result of prompt and well-coordinated actions of the Crimean rescuers, the mock fire was successfully extinguished.
At the end of the practical actions, the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations examined the primary fire extinguishing equipment, evacuation plans, the external water supply of the facility (fire hydrants). Additional briefings were also held with the staff on fire safety measures and the algorithm of actions in the event of an emergency.
