In the Crimea, restrictions on being in the forest
CrimeaPRESS reports:
To prevent the threat of emergencies and ensure fire safety in Crimea, from July 12 to calendar day 21, restrictions were imposed on the stay of citizens in the forests, the entry of vehicles into them and the performance of certain types of work in the forests in order to ensure fire safety.
Corresponding order was published on July 7, 2023 on the official website of the Crimean Ministry of Natural Resources.
In particular, it is forbidden to make fires, carry out fire hazardous work, work using open fire in forests and natural ecosystems, in the territories adjacent to them, including the burning of logging residues and garbage, dry grass and household waste, agricultural burning and gas welding.
Visiting forests is limited, with the exception of the places of recreation for citizens specified in Appendix No. 2 of the above order, which allowed to use (visit) free of charge.
The restrictions specified in the order do not apply to persons engaged in activities for the use of forests in accordance with applicable law, including persons using forest plots for the purpose of recreational activities (providing recreational services) and persons located in these recreational forest plots ( receiving recreational services)— noted in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea.
The authorities and forces of the territorial subsystem for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations have been put on high alert.
