The traffic police of Simferopol summed up the preventive measures “Pedestrian! Crosswalk!».

Every day from July 10 to 16, inspectors were on duty at emergency sites, as well as busy intersections and pedestrian crossings. In addition to suppressing administrative offenses, employees held preventive conversations with road users. Particular attention was paid to the observance by pedestrians of the rules of safe crossing of the carriageway, the use of retroreflective elements, and by drivers — compliance with the speed limit, the requirements of traffic lights, road signs and markings in places where pedestrians move.— said in the State traffic inspectorate.

During this period, 137 traffic violations were detected in the Crimean capital, of which: 100 violations were committed by pedestrians and 37 by drivers who did not follow the rules for crossing pedestrian crossings.

Traffic police officers once again remind all road users of the need to be careful at pedestrian crossings: drivers should not forget about the need to slow down, and pedestrians should make sure that they are allowed to pass when crossing the road.
