In the Crimean forests installed cameras to control fires

As noted in the ministry, in 2024 the fire hazard season was introduced in the republic from April 1 to December 14, and from April 17 to November 7, a special fire regime was operating throughout the territory of the Republic of Crimea. As 2024 showed, the largest number of natural fires falls on the period from the second half of July to the end of September. Similar terms are expected in 2025.

The growth of fires begins now, so last week 71 fires were registered in the republic on the territory of the republic (22 more than the same period of 2024). Of these, 46 fires are associated with the fire of garbage and dry vegetation. Significant growth of fires is observed in the territories of the Bakhchisaray, Krasnoperekop, Sovetsky and Nizhnyansky districts.

In order to control the fire hazard at the Forest Fund of the Republic, subordinate to the Ministry of Ecologists and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea, 44 video cameras were installed in the video monitoring system, — reported in the Ministry of Emergencies.

Interdepartmental groups have already been formed in the region to examine the territories of settlements, social infrastructure, energy and transport facilities with a common border with forest areas subject to the threat of crossing natural fires. In case of deterioration of a fire hazardous situation, additional interdepartmental groups will be introduced if necessary.
