In the Crimean village of Veresaevo on June 22, a monument to the heroes of the villagers was solemnly opened
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, in the village of Veresaevo, Saki, after a major overhaul, a memorial sign was solemnly opened in honor of fellow villagers who died during the Second World War. The opening of the memorial was timed to coincide with the 82nd anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War.
June 22, 1941 is a day of incredible deceit. He taught us that there should be no trust in international treaties. You always need to have enough strength to repel an enemy strike, which will be unexpected, unpredictable. Our people suffered colossal losses in the Great Patriotic War. Unfortunately, we cannot resurrect the 27 million people we have lost. But we must remember them and pass this memory on to the next generations.— said Vladimir Konstantinov, chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, who took part in the ceremony.
He thanked everyone who took part in the reconstruction of the monument. It should be noted that it was repaired at the expense of deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea and trustees. The opening of the renewed memorial sign to the heroes was a truly significant event for the residents of the village of Veresaevo.
