In the village of Zuya (Belogorsky district of Crimea), a ceremony was held to open a memorial plaque in memory of a fellow countryman-hero.
On the facade of the building of secondary school No. A. A. Williamson installed a memorial plaque to the graduate of the school Maxim Stepanov. -year-old warrior died while performing combat missions. Awarded the Order of Courage (posthumously).
The opening ceremony of the memorial plaque was attended by Maxim’s father — Sergey Vasilyevich Stepanov, deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Anna Rubel, head of the Belogorsk district municipality, chairman of the district council Arsen Yunusov, deputy head of the administration of the Belogorsk district Nikolai Antonenko, chairman of the Zuysky village council — head of the administration of the Zuysky rural settlement Alexander Kosenkov, teaching staff and students of the school.
The director and teachers of the school recall their student with warmth and pride: “A sympathetic, kind, smiling guy. He studied well, knew how to make friends. He will forever remain in our memory — honest, open, real. ”
This guy chose a difficult, but important and serious path. He courageously defended the Motherland, gave his life for our peaceful sky. This feat deserves boundless respect and eternal memory. We are proud that such Heroes, true patriots of their Fatherland, have grown up on our Belogorsk land. Together with the deputies of the city and district councils, we are working to perpetuate their exploits. Eternal memory to Maxim, strength and patience to his family. For our part, we are always ready to support and help his family get through this difficult period, — said Anna Rubel.
It is important to remember and be grateful to our defenders of the Fatherland. At the cost of their own lives, they give us the opportunity to live, study and work under a peaceful sky.
