On the outskirts of one of the villages of the Dzhankoy district, the PPS detachment drew attention to a man who, at the sight of police officers, threw his hat aside. Coming closer, the police found a cap, which contained a polymer bundle. Police officers detained a 46-year-old resident of the city of Krasnoperekopsk, suspected of committing a crime.
The suspect confessed to the police that there was «salt» in the reconciliation. The discovered was seized and sent for examination, the results of which showed that the contents of the bundle, weighing 0.89 grams, is a narcotic drug — a derivative of N-methylephedron— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Dzhankoisky» initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal acquisition, storage without the purpose of sale, narcotic drugs in a significant amount”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to three years.
