In the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov will celebrate the 124th anniversary of the writer's move to his Yalta home

Theatrical production, author’s and musical excursions will be held on September 9.

In the House-Museum of A.P. Chekhov on September 9, a traditional museum holiday will be held, timed to coincide with the 124th anniversary of the writer’s move to his Yalta home.

A rich program will begin with one of the main events — the discovery of the secret of the secret item of the exhibition «Cabinet of Rarities». All this time, the exhibit was hidden from the eyes of visitors. Museum guests will be able to learn about it at 11:30 on a curatorial tour. In addition, you can visit the final author’s excursion «Art Salon of Maria Chekhova», where everyone can learn not only about the personality of the writer’s sister and the first director of the museum, but also see her works— reported the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.

Also on this day at 15:30 there will be a musical tour with a performance by the laureate of international competitions Anastasia Turkina. The program includes classical works that were once played for Anton Chekhov himself. You can visit all excursions in the museum with entrance tickets.

In the memorial garden at 16:30 there will be a free screening of the theatrical production of «Playing Chekhov» performed by the theater «Bi-6».
