CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Kherson region, the military and rescuers, doctors, sanitary doctors and social workers, volunteers and public utilities continue to eliminate the consequences of the emergency caused by the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
The result of well-coordinated work carried out by employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and public utilities in pumping water from residential buildings and public buildings, clearing house territories and streets is noticeable to the naked eye. More than half of the flooded buildings have already been freed from water— said the acting governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo.
According to him, the delivery of food products, as well as the supply of bottled drinking water, has been arranged to areas with disturbed water supply as a result of the flood. Over 40 tons of water were delivered to the region as humanitarian aid during the day alone.
Continuous work is underway to provide material assistance to the affected population. In the Novokakhovsk city, Aleshkovsky and Golopristansky municipal districts, there are evaluation commissions that register lost and damaged housing and property.
Many residential buildings that were flooded as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, unfortunately, are not suitable for housing. Water in some buildings stood for up to 10 days, and some were flooded up to the roof. Such houses, even if they did not collapse on their own, will have to be dismantledSaldo noted.

In the future, an assessment of the extent of destruction will be carried out and compensation will be paid for the damage suffered, which can be used to build new houses, restore household plots and enterprises of the agricultural sector.

As Andrey Alekseenko, head of the government of the region, said, Novaya Kakhovka is gradually leaving the state of emergency due to flooding … into the usual regime of a front-line city. At night, the light was once again restored here after the shelling of the Nazis.
In the Aleshkinsky district, the water has also almost disappeared — now it remains only in the lowlands. And in the settlements of the Golopristan district, there is still a lot of water — this is the city itself, as well as Kokhani, Kardashinki Bolshaya and Malaya, and the area of dachas. All the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and public utilities are thrown into pumping out sewer stations and water supply facilities, as well as substations. To provide people with light and water faster. On June 20, it was possible to connect to the power supply 3 five-story Alyoshek buildings and 5 apartment buildings in Gopry (Naked Pier)— said Alekseenko.
By evening, 3,500 people had already received vaccinations against dangerous infections.
We continue to take a set of anti-epidemic measures. Collected and taken out more than 1600 dead animals. 6.1 thousand heads of agricultural and domestic animals were vaccinated. As the water drains, the streets and objects are disinfected with special reagents. The task for today and tomorrow is to reach every house where the water has come down. We continue to work— summed up Andrey Alekseenko.
