In the Kherson region, to date, from the settlements affected by flooding, about 6 thousand people have been evacuated and resettled, including 235 children and 81 people with limited mobility. Basically, these are residents of the Novokahovsky city, Aleshkinsky and Golopristansky municipal districts. More than 1.7 thousand people are in temporary accommodation, 62 civilians are hospitalized.
Restoration work is also underway — 795 people and 344 pieces of equipment are involved in them. The work is hindered by constant shelling from the militants of the Ukrainian armed formations.
There is a continuing descent of water — in Novaya Kakhovka, the level dropped by 3 meters per day. The city began pumping water and cleaning garbage from the streets.

According to preliminary data from PJSC RusHydro, the Dnieper will enter its channel below the Kakhovskaya HPP by June 16.
