Authorities note TASS, began repairing the route along the Black Sea connecting the Kherson region with the road to Crimea and Melitopol — “Iron Port — Lazurnoe — Skadovsk”. This was announced by the Chairman of the Government of the Kherson region Andrey Alekseenko.

This is the only coastal road that connects the western part of the region with the routes to Crimea and Genichesk/Melitopol. The 48 km road between the Black Sea resorts of the region has long been in terrible condition — it has not been repaired for 30 years. And we all understand that without a comfortable and safe entrance, there can be no talk of any development of tourismsays in Telegram channel Alekseenko.

The head of the regional government clarified that builders have already begun milling and preparatory work. According to him, a new asphalt surface will be laid on the coastal road by mid-summer.

As a result, after the completion of the repair of this route and the Novotroitskoye — Chaplynka road, a convenient transport corridor will appear along the entire coast of the Azov and Black Seas with two convenient exits to Crimea. And through the updated federal highway — to Melitopol,” Alekseenko emphasized.
