In the Komsomol park. Hero of the Soviet Union Maria Baida now there is «Neptune»
Krympress reports:
The sculpture of Vyacheslav Yakovlev “Neptune” was previously located on the territory of the Sevas restaurant, which is now dismantled. When the dismantling began, the owner of the sculpture and former Rybatsky Stan restaurant Alexander Prikhodko entered the government of Sevastopol. He decided to transfer the sculpture as a gift to the city (as early as Ukraine, he acquired Neptune in the artistic fund of the city).
Governor Mikhail Podvozhaev instructed to put a sculpture in the Komsomol park in the city center.
In addition to the large works created by the sculptor, he had a whole series of park sculptures. Many works have already been lost, some have been preserved in private collections. Let me remind you that the teacher of our art school Valery Libe told me that the «octopus» was put up for sale on the Avito website. We bought it and installed it here in the Komsomol park. And today the second work has been installed in the park — «Neptune»,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Pravozhaev.
Reference: Vyacheslav Yakovlev is the author of important cultural objects of Sevastopol: the memorial to the heroic defenders of Sevastopol 1941-1942, the triumphal arch in honor of the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol, the basiloi of the cinema «Russia» and the memorial sign «conquerors of the cosmos».
