In the mayor, they answered Vladimir Zelensky for a statement about the absence of tourism in Crimea

Today Crimea is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Russia. <...> In total, from 2014 to 2024, more than 20 million people and about 2 million were placed in the hotels of Crimea — in the hotels of Sevastopol— the message says.

According to Rosstat, in 2024, the number of tourists located in Crimean hotels amounted to 2.4 million people. Moreover, this indicator does not take into account vacationers who stop in the private sector.

As you know, in Crimea this segment of tourist housing is well developed. Therefore, the real number of tourists visiting the region is much higher, — noted in the ministry.

According to the mayor, the income of the republic’s accommodation funds in 2024 amounted to more than 40 billion rubles (excluding the private sector), since 2014 this indicator has grown 6.7 times.

Crimea actively uses state support measures. According to the program of preferential lending in the Crimea, seven projects of large hotels are supported — these are over 3 thousand new hotel rooms. In addition, one of the resorts will be built on the peninsula as part of the project “Five Seas and Lake Baikal”. The launch of the project will allow you to attract an additional 1.1 million tourists annually, added to the Ministry of Economic Development.

Earlier, Zelensky, during a speech, said to reporters that in Crimea for 11 years, tourism is supposedly absent.
