In the New Chersonesus, a parade of flags was held and the updated exposition of the Crimean and Novorossiya Museum was opened

Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Podvozozhaev took part in festive events in the territory of the New Chersonesos museum and guard complex.

At the initiative of Metropolitan of Simferopol and Crimean Tikhon (Shevkunov), a parade of flags took place here. The banner groups passed from the Temple Park to the central fountain and the Museum of Crimea and Novorossiya. They carried 15 flags to the audience, symbolizing the course of Russian history and the victory of our country in different eras — from the Battle of Kulikovo to the present.

Dmitry Chernyshenko praised the plan of the parade of flags and especially noted the importance of preserving the historical memory of the country.

Congratulations on everyone on the day of Russia! All the flags that took place in the parade were one way or another to those historical events that took place many centuries ago. But, of course, the most important event is the baptism of Rus’, which predetermined the future of the statehood of our country and the unification of the Slavic peoples,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Deputy Prime Minister.

The procession of a banner group with flags of different eras was an illustration of the formation of Russian statehood, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev emphasized.

The flag parade — the ingenious idea of ​​Vladyka Tikhon — clearly demonstrated the course of history, the formation of Russian statehood. The parade caused special feelings because he went here, on the Holy Chersonesos land— said the head of the city.

The Museum of Crimea and Novorossia today has opened a new exposition. She received a fundamentally new format: now each museum hall is a paragraph of a living, visual history textbook created using advanced technologies. Instead of a traditional museum display — documentaries generated with the help of artificial intelligence, historical reconstructions and multimedia images built on the basis of reliable archival sources.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized that the opening of an updated exposition is an important event for the further development of the New Chersonesos.

We see an ongoing interest in all expositions: over six months, the exhibition has been visited by more than half a million people. I am sure that after the opening of the updated exhibition, the number will increase even more. Memory is probably the most important thing we must store. And as our president says, respecting our memory, we must be directed to the future, studying in the lessons of our history— he said.

Mikhail Razvozhaev noted that the new exposition of the museum will undoubtedly allow guests of the museum and guard complex to study the history of Russia deeper.

The new exposition of the Museum of Crimea and Novorossia is another grandiose project of the New Chersonesos, a truly exciting sight, which will allow all Sevastopol residents and guests of our city to visually immerse themselves in the history of our country. And we are all together with our own hands now. I am sure that it will be even greater. The progressive movement of our country will continue if we all make maximum efforts to this, — The governor of Sevastopol emphasized.

The festive program in the New Chersonesus will last until late in the evening. Her concert will be completed by the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble «Russia» named after Lyudmila Zykina, which will be held as part of the «Great Festival of Arts».
