In the Nizhnegorsky district, a young man will go to prison for an accident in which a person was injured

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A 24-year-old local resident was convicted in the Nizhnegorsky district. He was found guilty under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in negligence in causing serious harm to human health, committed by a person in a state of intoxication).

During the trial, it was established that in September 2023, a man, while intoxicated, was driving a HYUNDAE ACCENT. While driving in the village of Novogrigorievka at a speed limit, the defendant lost control of the car and drove off the roadway, where the vehicle overturned.

As a result of a traffic accident, a car passenger suffered bodily injuries in the form of a comminuted fracture of the left humerus with displacement of fragments,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 3 years in prison with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving a vehicle for a period of 2 years. The convicted person will serve his sentence in a settlement colony. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
