In the parks and squares of Simferopol, benches will become vandal-proof
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the parks and squares of Simferopol, wooden lamellas on benches will be replaced with composite ones, which are stronger and more durable. Roman Filipenko, director of MBUK «Parks of the Capital» told about this
We started replacing wooden lamellas with composite ones. The latter do not require painting, are not affected by natural factors and are more durable than wooden ones, and also do not burn.— said Filipenko on the air of Radio Crimea.
According to him, almost every week it is necessary to eliminate the consequences of vandalism. First of all, park furniture suffers. Using new materials is one way to fight vandals.
Roman Filipenko also said that repairs to the pier have begun in Gagarin Park:
We repair on our own, we also use composite material as more practical.
In the same Gagarinsky park, work is underway to install an inclusive playground, designed, among other things, for children with disabilities.
And one more positive park news: there is a new addition to the family of swans that settled on the pond of the Gagarin Park.
The event is not just joyful, but unique. This is the first time in the history of the pond when two swan families at once acquired offspring. Swans nest where they feel safe and comfortable. And if they build a nest in a crowded place, this is a sign that birds are protected and fed here. We are very pleased that the efforts of the park’s employees give such a result. Feathered babies feel good and are already swimming with their mother for a walk along the pond. The duck-fired duck became a nanny for the swans. She does not leave the chicks for a minute, accompanying the swan family everywhere— said the employees of the Parks of the Capital.
