The schemes that the cyberfers used in the past week in Crimea:

  • calls / calls in instant messengers (telegrams, votsap) on behalf of the bank employees, law enforcement agencies, the online portal «State Services», mobile operators;
  • «Safe» account;
  • purchase and sale of goods on free ads;
  • False Restraint, investment, additional earnings

Through Internet sites, social networks, messengers, 34 citizens were deceived

A resident of Simferopol turned to the police and said that in the Telegram messenger a message was received from “law enforcement officials” that the bank’s employees transferred her data to third parties who intend to sponsor the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Having bewildered, the woman transferred in cash through an ATM more than 1 million 100 thousand rubles.

A similar statement came from another resident of Simferopol, who under the same pretext transferred more than 1 million 700 thousand rubles.

A resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district also, under the pretext of suspicion of financing terrorist activities, handed over to fraudsters more than 2 million 200 thousand rubles.

Through the calls, deceived 19 citizens

The Crimean police recommend not following the instructions received as a result of a telephone conversation. In case of doubt about the conscientiousness of the caller, it is better to complete the call and call back the bank’s phone number or mobile operator (depending on who the “interlocutor” introduced himself).

A resident of Alushta appealed to the police with a statement of fraud. She said that she received a call from an alleged employee of Rosfinmonitoring. The caller informed the woman that third parties issued loans to her name and, to repay them, it should be sent funds from the specified details. Sending a panic, the woman sent more than 470 thousand rubles.

An unknown person who introduced himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring called a resident of the Dzhankoy district in the Telegram messenger. The false employee convinced the woman that it was necessary to declare her savings and they can help her with this. All that needs to be done is to transfer money to a special person. The confused Crimean gave more than 1 million 500 thousand rubles, counting on the fact that after all the necessary procedures, money will be returned to her.

A resident of Simferopol district applied to the police with a statement. The woman said that on one of the sites of free ads she sold a fur coat. Once a man who expressed a desire to acquire a fur product from her contacted her. Under the pretext of transferring funds, the “buyer” sent the woman a link, arguing that in this way he could send funds. Without suspecting anything, the applicant crossed the link and introduced the details of her bank card, after which she received an SMS notification of write-off 37 thousand rubles.

In the messenger, a resident of Dzhankoy came a message from an unknown person. The message contained a link, moving on which nine files loaded on her phone, but she could not open them. After, going to the bank’s application, the woman found that she was gone from her account 28 thousand rubles.
