CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the Crimean Federal Penitentiary Service paid tribute to the memory of colleagues who died in the line of duty.
On the Day of Remembrance of employees of the Russian penal system who died while performing their official duties, a memorial service was held in the Church of St. Luke of Crimea, located in correctional colony No. 1 in Simferopol, with the participation of the management and personnel of subordinate institutions and the apparatus of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Republic of Crimea. A minute of silence was declared in memory of the fallen colleagues. After which, Archpriest Roman Tsurkan, assistant to the head of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service for organizing work with believers, held a memorial service— noted in the press service UFSIN.
It should be noted that from August 22 to September 22, in all institutions and bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the All-Russian action “Memory Watch” was held, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of penitentiary system employees who died in the line of duty, within the framework of which various events were carried out by personnel and veterans of the penitentiary service of Crimea: sports competitions, lessons of courage, thematic lectures, talks, visits to memorials and laying of flowers.
The action is aimed at honoring and preserving the memory of department employees who died heroically while performing official tasks, as well as showing examples of worthy behavior, and is designed to unite all employees and veterans of the penal system.
