As a result of the emergency, power supply was disrupted in 320 settlements of the republic. Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk announced this in the “Main Interview” program on the “Millet” TV channel.

According to preliminary data, the amount of damage caused to Crimea by the disaster is estimated at about 42 billion rubles. Embankments and shore protection structures in all coastal cities were severely damaged. Currently, the municipalities of the republic and the executive bodies of the Republic of Crimea are preparing supporting documents for requesting funds from the federal budget. More than 3 thousand people and 400 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the emergency. 445 people, including 69 children, were evacuated from flooded residential buildings. All responsible services took part in the liquidation of the consequences, including Crimean rescuers, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as ordinary citizens who helped fight the disaster,” Yuri Gotsanyuk emphasizes.
