In the Saki region, an “aspiring entrepreneur” robbed a pensioner — he offered to “buy” textiles

A 55-year-old local resident contacted the Saki district police and said that an 85-year-old neighbor told her about the theft of money in the amount of 170 thousand rubles from his household.
During operational search activities, police established that on the eve of the crime, an unfamiliar young man came to see the elderly man. A trusting pensioner allowed a “seller” into the house, who offered to buy various types of textiles. When paying for the purchase, the attacker saw a large amount of money from the victim and decided to “get rich” the easy way. The prompt measures taken to search allowed police officers to detain the suspect without delay. He turned out to be a 24-year-old resident of the Stavropol Territory, who admitted his guilt and said that he came to the Republic of Crimea to earn money, selling various types of goods to local residents: bed linen, towels, etc. — the details of the story were announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
In the detainee’s car, police found 102 thousand rubles, which were seized and returned to the rightful owner. The attacker spent the rest of the money for his own needs.
The investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saki» opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 5 years. The attacker was taken into custody.
