In the Saki district, the police received a report of the theft of a wheelchair, which was left by the victim on the street near the entrance. The damage caused amounted to 15 thousand rubles. As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, as a result of operational search activities, police established the identity of the suspect. A 60-year-old local woman with an alcohol abuse problem pleaded guilty to theft. The stolen item was seized by police on the same day and returned to its rightful owner.

The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saki» opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to five years.
