«In the same way» stole 130 thousand rubles from a bank account: an incident in Sevastopol

A 45-year-old resident of the Bryansk region, who arrived in Sevastopol for treatment, settled in one of the city hostels, where he met a 32-year-old Donetsk.

One day, friends wanted to relax and drink a little alcohol. Carried away by heavy drinks, the eldest of the men fell asleep, and his companion, meanwhile, decided to use a successful moment. The attacker remembered the password from the Internet banking in advance, which was introduced by a new acquaintance in the store with him, and with the help of a neighbor’s mobile phone, he transferred 70 thousand rubles to his account. But the man did not stop there. He also took a bank card from his comrade’s wallet and, having tried to enter the same password as in the Internet banking, gained access to cash withdrawal and stole another 60 thousand from someone else’s account, after which he threw the card. In the morning, realizing that a large amount of money was deducted from the bank account, the victim turned to the police for help,-voiced the details of the case in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.

Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nakhimovsky district detained an attacker, a criminal case was instituted against him under paragraph “G” of part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code «Theft». He faces up to six years in prison.
