In the Sevastopol maternity hospital No. 2, a renovated catering unit has been launched, providing six meals a day for patients. The production capacity allows you to simultaneously cook 400 portions, which completely covers the needs of the maternity hospital and city hospital No. 5. Modern technological equipment for cooking , storage, processing and packaging of products allows you to automate the process. It is especially important in conditions when, after childbirth, mothers need proper nutrition, the presence of a combi steamer — food can be steamed or baked in it.

This catering unit is the only one in Sevastopol. There is new equipment here: combi steamers, stoves, a large dough mixer. Capacities allow us to cook here the entire cycle of nutrition for our patients. Previously, there were old stoves, there was no dough mixing machine, now we have it, and we are very happy to be able to make delicious and fresh pastries , — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Lilia Ryabinina, head of the production of the food department of the city hospital No. 5.

The catering unit is equipped with separate shops: meat, fish, vegetable. Each of them provides the correct sequence of processing products. There are also low- and medium-temperature freezers, refrigerated cabinets, storage rooms for perishable products. Compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements is monitored in the catering department, all products are carefully controlled.

The menu was developed by our dietician and dieticians, taking into account all the needs of the daily microelement of proteins, fats, carbohydrates. Nutrition is balanced so that our women feel good and comfortable , — notes Lilia Ryabinina.

The diet of patients includes meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and confectionery.

Diets for patients are developed according to regulated documents, we have specially developed norms of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. We feed by category: child care mothers, separately pregnant women, lactating women. Each diet has its own nutritional features: we add a dry protein composite mixture for optimal absorption of food and to increase immunity. Each diet has its own specifics: for example, we give cabbage soups and borscht to pregnant women, but such dishes are not allowed for lactating women , says Tatiana Nemchenko, dietitian at City Hospital No. 5.
