In the Sevastopol Yukharin Balka, work continues on the overhaul of power lines

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Work on the site is being carried out by the State Budgetary Institution «Gorsvet» and the contractor LLC «Imperia-Stroyproekt». 8 units of equipment were involved in the work, and at the moment specialists are carrying out the main work on replacing the supports: more than 40 of them have already been installed, with a total of over 240 planned.

The site is not easy, and the scope of work is quite large — there are about 40 cooperatives here. Networks and equipment are worn out and their service life is reaching the end. And, of course, a major overhaul is simply necessary here: replacing the overhead line will increase its capacity — the voltage drop in the line will decrease, which means that the energy supply in Yukharinaya Balka will become much more stable. During major repairs, specialists from Gorsvet and the contractor use modern equipment and wear-resistant materials designed for a longer service life,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Right now, self-supporting insulated wire is being installed at the site.

SIP 3 is a single-core self-supporting insulated wire that is laid over new supports. The self-supporting insulated wire is tied to the crossbars that are installed on these supports and then moves towards the consumers — says Dmitry Dupliy, head of the network service of the Gorsvet State Budgetary Institution.

The installation of a high-voltage power transmission line is also underway — specialists have installed about 3 kilometers, and the entire length of the line will exceed 11 kilometers.

During major repairs, modern equipment and wear-resistant materials are used, designed for a longer service life.

So-called reclosers will be installed here — these are special devices for automatic control and protection of high-voltage overhead power lines. With their help, specialists can remotely monitor the operation of the line — for example, manage shutdowns of sections if maintenance is required,” said Dmitry Kosabokov, director of Imperia-Stroyproekt LLC.

The complete repair of the lines in Yukharin Balka is planned to be completed before the end of this year.

This year, 35 facilities were put into operation in Sevastopol, where the Gorsvet State Budgetary Institution installed new energy-saving equipment. By the end of 2024, it is planned to complete work on 4 more roads, 15 streets and four courtyards. Also this year, more than 800 lights were installed and restored to functionality, and by the end of the year about 100 more will be installed.
