A statement from a 22-year-old local resident on the abduction of a large amount of money was received in the attendant part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol district.

As a result of operational-search measures, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Simferopol district were installed and detained a 31-year-old man who turned out to be a cousin of the victim. The police found that the suspect was obviously knowing that the relative has a large amount of money in the apartment, he decided to kidnap money. Remaining at a party, for half a year, the attacker secretly abducted the money. The total amount of damage amounted to 14 million rubles. The detainee explained that with the stolen money from his cousin, a man purchased two cars, welding apparatus, repair tools, as well as gold jewelry for his passion, -The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Republic of Crimea reported.

The senior investigator of the branch of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Simferopol district opened a criminal case on the grounds of the corpus delicti under Part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). A man may face the maximum punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years.

The suspect was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of detention.
