In the Simferopol district, a verdict was passed in a criminal case of murder and concealment of a crime

In the Simferopol region, three local residents were convicted. Depending on the role and degree of participation, they were found guilty of committing crimes under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“murder”), Part 2 of Art. 316 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“concealment of especially serious crimes not promised in advance”).
The court found that in June 2022, the defendants, who were in a non-residential premises in a state of intoxication, had a conflict with the victim. During the quarrel, one of the malefactors inflicted at least 13 blows with his fist and hand on the back of the head, face and chest, after which he fired 2 shots into the body of the latter from a double-barreled gun.
The man died at the scene from his injuries. Two of his acquaintances, who were eyewitnesses of the incident, wanting to help the attacker avoid criminal liability for the crime, helped the latter to hide the traces and the instrument of the crime, as well as the corpse, taking him out in a carthe prosecutor’s office said.
The court, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, sentenced the man found guilty of committing the murder to 10 years and 1 month in prison in a strict regime correctional colony, two more defendants to fines. The verdict has not entered into force.
