In the Simferopol region, a driver who hit a cyclist at a pedestrian crossing will be tried

The Simferopol District Prosecutor’s Office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 22-year-old local resident. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules by a person driving a car, resulting in the death of a person through negligence).
According to investigators, in early August of this year, during the daytime, the accused was driving a BMW 740 Ai along the Simferopol — Bakhchisaray highway within the boundaries of the village. Clean at a speed of 182 km/h. Due to a gross violation of traffic rules by the driver and an incorrectly selected speed, he caused a collision with a cyclist crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing. The victim suffered multiple injuries, from which he died at the scene of the traffic accident,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent for consideration to the Simferopol District Court.
