During the visit of the investigative and operational group of the transport police, it was established that a 73-year-old resident of the village of Gvardeysky died at the scene of the incident from her injuries. The driver of the Salt Lake — Simferopol electric train, noticing the woman, sounded a sound signal and applied emergency braking, but a collision could not be avoided. During the interview, the driver explained that the woman did not respond to the signals he gave. The materials were sent to the investigative authorities to make a procedural decision.— reported the press service of the Crimean Line Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for Transport.
On the eve of the New Year holidays, transport police remind residents of Crimea about personal safety measures when at railway transport facilities and urge them to be attentive to their implementation. When crossing paths, do not use a mobile phone or headphones. Do not cross the railway track in places not designated for this purpose. Do not crawl over or under the carriages of a stationary train — it is deadly!
