CrimeaPRESS reports:
At the request of the prosecutor, illegal activities in the cultivation of aquaculture in the waters of Big Yalta are prohibited. The Simferopol Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office announced the results of an audit of compliance with the requirements of the legislation on aquaculture (fish farming).
It has been established that the mussel-oyster farm carries out activities for the cultivation of bivalve mollusks in the waters of Katsiveli Bay in the absence of legal grounds. Thus, the farm operates without a duly concluded agreement on the use of a fish-breeding site, in the absence of approvals from the federal executive body in the field of fisheries and a positive conclusion from the state environmental review.
In view of these violations, which may adversely affect the ecological well-being in the water area, the environmental prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit to recognize the use of a section of the water area as illegal and the obligation to release it by dismantling the hydrotechnical modules used in the cultivation of musselsthe prosecutor’s office said.
The court satisfied the prosecutor’s claims, the execution of the court decision is under control.
