In Yalta, 900 Crimean children were taught financial literacy and security. Avoiding falling for the tricks of scammers and learning how to properly manage your funds are the basics of financial literacy and security that everyone should know. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko, during a speech at an event to increase financial literacy, which took place in one of the popular resorts on the southern coast of Crimea.

The event, which was organized by the head office of Sberbank in Crimea, was attended by children aged 10 to 16 years from Leninsky, Simferopol, Belogorsky, Krasnogvardeysky, Nizhnegorsky, Pervomaisky and other districts. As part of the project, children were able to visit an adventure theme park, and the speakers shared their childhood dreams and life experiences.
According to Irina Kiviko, the younger generation had the opportunity to directly ask questions and receive answers from both representatives of the Crimean authorities and managers who have achieved success in their field.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that in 2022, financial literacy events covered more than 60 thousand children in all corners of Crimea. On November 1, 2023, the first week of financial literacy started in the republic.
According to her, the popularization of activities to improve financial literacy among children and young people, people of the older generation, are important elements of the overall system, which will protect Crimeans from cyber fraud, manipulation schemes, threats of money withdrawal, access to personal data, involvement in illegal activities and others .
