In Yalta, a foreigner ended up in the dock for trying to bribe a traffic police inspector

A foreign citizen will be tried in Yalta. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1, art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted petty bribery).
According to the preliminary investigation body, on May 8 of this year, a traffic police officer on duty stopped a car driven by the accused in connection with the commission of an administrative offense by the latter. After that, the attacker, wanting to avoid responsibility, gave the official a bribe in the amount of 2 thousand rubles. The employee of the internal affairs bodies refused illegal remuneration— told the details in the prosecutor’s office.
The criminal case was sent to court for consideration on the merits. A foreigner faces a large fine (and in the worst case, imprisonment for a year).
