Krympress reports:
During operational and preventive measures, employees of the department for control of drugs of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta established the involvement of the 34-year-old resident of Yalta in unlawful activities related to drug trafficking.
The police stopped the suspect on one of the city streets of Alupka. The man behaved suspiciously, poorly oriented himself in space and could not answer law enforcement questions. When inspecting the road bag available under him, law enforcement officers found and seized a jar with a substance of plant origin and three polymer packets with powdered substance. The attacker said that the substances found in him are forbidden narcotic drugs: marijuana and Mephedron, which he acquired in Moscow and tried to sell in the peninsula, but did not bring the criminal intent to the end, as he was detained by police officers.
The results of the examination confirmed that the substance of plant origin with a total mass of 96.91 g is a drug of cannabis (marijuana), and a powder substance with a total mass of 350.4 g contains a drug «Mephedron» (4-methyl-metinonon),-noted in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Crimea.
The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yalta against the attacker has been instituted a criminal case on the grounds of the corpus delicti under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 of Art. 228.1 (attempt on illegal sales of narcotic drugs, committed in large and especially large amounts). According to the current legislation, the defendant may threaten the punishment up to life imprisonment.
The suspect was chosen by a preventive measure in the form of detention.
