The story that happened in Yalta is as follows:
The traffic police inspector of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta, while on duty to ensure road safety, gave a stop signal to the driver of the Honda Dio moped. The man ignored the traffic inspector’s demands and ran over him, after which he disappeared. As a result of the incident, an inspector from a separate platoon received injuries of varying severity. All external squads were deployed to apprehend the attacker. Two hours later, the offender surrendered on his own, arriving at one of the territorial police departments. He turned out to be a 20-year-old local resident who does not have a driving license.— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
In relation to the detainee, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta drew up administrative protocols under Art. 12.6 (Violation of the rules for using motorcycle helmets), Part 1 of Art. 12.7 (Driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have the right to drive a vehicle), Part 1 of Art. 12.25 (Failure to comply with the requirement to stop a vehicle) and Part 2 of Art. 12.27 (Leaving the scene of an accident by a driver in violation of traffic regulations).
The court sentenced the offender to 15 days of administrative arrest. He will also have to pay fines totaling 16,500 rubles. The materials collected by the police regarding the incident were transferred to the investigative authorities for further legal assessment.
