In Yalta, a suspect in a double murder was detained — a family conflict grew into a stabbing

On May 29, the attendant of the Yalta police received an application for the loss of two local residents. According to the applicant, an elderly woman and her 53-year-old daughter have not been in touch for about two weeks.
As a result of operational-search measures, police officers at the place of residence found the bodies of two women with multiple stab wounds. The coordinated actions of employees of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea, in cooperation with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yalta, allowed to establish and detain the suspect as soon as possible. It turned out to be a 34-year-old relative of the dead. According to the detainee, being intoxicated, he entered into conflict with his mother and grandmother, as a result of which he stabbed women with a knife,-the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Crimea said.
Leaving the house, the man took the money and phones of the victims, having previously deleted the history of calls, broke the SIM card and burned the documents of the dead women. Despite attempts to cover traces of the crime and hide in another city, the Yalta was detained.
The materials collected by the operatives were transferred to the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee.
