In Yalta, as part of the “Donate Blood, Save a Life” campaign, 122 donors donated blood

In the Yalta branch of the State Budgetary Institution of Healthcare of the Republic of Crimea «Blood Center», on the initiative of the Yalta centralized club system and the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Blood Center», from April 16 to 19, the Donor Campaign «Donate Blood, Save a Life» was held, dedicated to the National Donor Day, and aimed at replenishing the strategically important blood supply. During this period, 122 people donated blood.
On the eve of the significant date, April 19, 32 people donated blood. These are representatives of the DOSAAF Russian Defense Ministry for the city of Yalta, employees of the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, activists of the United Russia party, and caring Yalta residents. The largest of the voluntary donors was the team of the Federal State Institution Sanatorium of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation “Rodina”.
Congratulating donors and medical personnel on National Donor Day, on behalf of the city administration and the Yalta City Council, Ekaterina Demina thanked everyone for their invaluable contribution to saving human lives. And about. Head of the Federal State Institution Sanatorium of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation «Rodina», Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Andrei Krivtsov, in his speech, noted the importance and necessity of donation to save lives, congratulated everyone on the upcoming National Donor Day, thanked the staff of the sanatorium and all concerned citizens for their active citizenship, high level of responsibility and honor. In addition, he expressed words of gratitude to the team for the regular voluntary assistance sent to the North Military District zone in cooperation with volunteer organizations of Yalta.
The exemplary art studio “Palette” of the Yalta Center organized an exhibition of children’s works “A Drop of Life”. The exhibition presents 18 works by studio participants in different techniques. The guys in their works reveal the relevance and importance of such a topic as donation. The exhibition dedicated to the National Donor Day of Russia will last until April 24.
A lecture and conversation “Truth and myths about donation” took place at the Gasprinsky village club. Donor blood is a means of saving a person’s life, both in emergency situations and in peacetime (in case of injuries, serious illnesses), since the transfusion of blood and blood products makes it possible to save millions of human lives every year. Ensuring a sufficient amount of safe blood can only be achieved through its regular free donation by voluntary donors.
During the days of the campaign, part of the donors, received monetary compensation for lunch, was donated to purchase medicines for the soldiers participating in the SVO.
