In Yalta from November 24 to 26 — operational and preventive event «Drunk Driver»

In order to increase the level of road safety, reduce mortality and prevent road accidents with high severity of consequences, identify and bring to justice drivers who are persistent offenders, persons driving vehicles while intoxicated, in the period from November 24 to 26, 2023 2019, an operational and preventive event “Drunk Driver” will be held in the city of Yalta.
When carrying out raids, traffic police inspectors, along with the usual service, will use the so-called “mass inspection” method, the essence of which is to check the maximum number of drivers on a specific section of the road for a certain period of time, and then move to other points and repeat the procedure.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds drivers that for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, transferring control of a vehicle to a person in a state of intoxication, as well as for the driver’s failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine in the amount of 30,000 rubles with imprisonment driving license for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. For repeated commission of the above offenses within a year, criminal liability is provided under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
