In Yalta, police officers stopped the sale of a large batch of synthetic drugs

When checking operational information, employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs established the involvement of a 39-year-old visiting citizen in activities related to drug trafficking in Yalta.
The police stopped the suspect on one of the city streets. The man was noticeably nervous and behaved suspiciously. Police officers searched the attacker, who was found to have a backpack containing 32 packages of a powdery substance. Also in the suspect’s mobile phone, police found photographs with coordinates of caches located in Yalta.
The attacker explained that the packages contained a narcotic drug, which he purchased contactlessly via the Internet and left in caches in the city for the purpose of subsequent sale— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the expert opinion, the material provided with a total weight of 19.13 grams is a narcotic drug, a derivative of N-methylephedron, the so-called “salt”.
Investigators conducted a search at the suspect’s place of temporary residence, as a result of which they discovered and seized a plastic container with a coarse-crystalline substance. The weight of the “salt” found was 41.18 grams.
Detectives from the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta, together with the suspect, inspected areas of the area, according to the coordinates found in the attacker’s mobile phone. As a result of operational activities, police officers discovered and seized 11 packages with a powdery substance. According to the results of the study, the detected substances with a total mass of 5.38 grams are a narcotic drug derived from N-methylephedron, the so-called “salt”— the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea supplemented the information.
An investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta opened a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 hours 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempt at the illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, on a large scale.” The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 20 years. The attacker was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
