I know that many of you were not easy to come. But, as they say, it is better to see once than to hear seven times, He said. — The main thing is to build personal relations between the administrations of cities of different countries.
Aksenov noted that in Crimea there are more than 5 thousand objects of cultural heritage, there is something to see.
In turn, the General Secretary of the OGMV-Eurasia Rasikh Khazitov noted in a commentary RIA Novosti Crimeathat the organization of such an event, the idea of which belongs to the head of the administration of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko, was not easy.
It was a challenge. The international situation is not easy, not everyone can come to Yalta, some refused due to logistics because of fears about security, some due to the fact that their governments do not allow cities to participate in conferences in the territories that they consider controversial— said the Khazitov.
The main goal of the official part of the event is the signing of the declaration of the purpose of sustainable development «Culture and heritage.» This declaration will then be transferred to the UN.
Our goal is sustainable development in the field of culture. Today this is not. This is very important. It is in Yalta that the largest number of objects of cultural heritage in Crimea is located — about 600— said Yanina Pavlenko to reporters.
The International Association «OGMV-Eurasia» is a partner of the UN. The Russian side considers Yalta the conference in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is very symbolic, because the famous Yalta conference of the leaders of the anti-Hitler coalition-Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill-on which the UN was made, was held here.
The United Cities and Local Authorities (OGMV) is a global network of municipalities, megacities and regions, as well as their associations, created in 2004 to strengthen the role of local and regional authorities in the process of making global decisions. The United Nations recognizes OGMV as the main partner in working with local authorities. OGMV unites more than 240,000 municipalities, regions and megacities from 140 UN countries.
In addition to official events, the conference participants in Yalta are waiting for a large excursion program in the Crimea, as well as the tasting of local wines and kitchens of the Crimean peoples.
