In Yalta, “social patrol” took to the streets

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The head of the Yalta Administration, Yanina Pavlenko, spoke about the joint project of the Yalta Administration and the ANO support center “Pereprava”:

Twice a week, the guys from “Pereprava” — those who were once homeless themselves, with the assistance of police officers, go on raids. Persons without a fixed place of residence are offered accommodation in a shelter where they can wash themselves, receive food and clothing. They are also helped to restore documents, socialize, give up bad habits, and get a job.

At the same time, Yanina Pavlenko notes that not everyone wants to change their lifestyle, but those who are ready will definitely receive help. As noted by the head of the Crossing, Yuri Shurinov, staying in the shelter is a voluntary decision.

We do not hold anyone back by force. And if a person is ready to change and lead a social lifestyle, we help. We already have positive examples — 5 people have completed a resocialization course, now they rent housing on their own, and they have a job. We supervise them for another year and a half, and then we maintain friendly contactsays Yuri Shurinov.

Everyone who lives in the shelter works — they weave camouflage nets, make potbelly stoves for defenders — members of the Northern Military District, make beds for low-income families and much more.

Yanina Pavlenko urged Yalta residents not to remain indifferent, especially with the onset of cold weather, and if they see those on the street who need help, call the number: +7978 676 03 55.
