In Yalta, the centenary of the beloved artist, Mikhail Pugovkin, is celebrated

On July 13 and 14, Yalta will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the inimitable Soviet artist Mikhail Pugovkin. Residents and guests of the resort capital of Crimea will take part in master classes, watch films with the actor and listen to songs from films in which he starred. According to Tourist portal of Crimeaa special stamp issued for the 100th anniversary of the Honorary Citizen of Yalta Mikhail Pugovkin will be redeemed.

According to the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Crimea, on July 13 at 17:00 on the Yalta embankment, at the monument to Mikhail Pugovkin, songs from films in which the artist was involved will be played. Friends and relatives of the actor will share their memories of him.

By the way, the monument on the Yalta embankment was opened seven years ago — on July 13, 2016. He immortalized the artist in the image of director Yakin from the film «Ivan Vasilyevich Changes His Profession.»

It was here in 1973 that the famous scene with Mikhail Pugovkin and Natalya Selezneva was filmed — a video clip for the song «Meet with Love» («The January Blizzard Rings»).

Also on July 13, a stamp will be redeemed in Yalta, which was specially issued for the 100th anniversary of the actor.

The artist’s anniversary will continue to be celebrated in the resort capital of Crimea on July 14. The events will take place in the cinema hall «At the Yalta Film Studio» (Sevastopolskaya St., 4). Both adults and children can visit them. The entrance is free.

According to the Crimean Film and Media Center, films with the participation of Mikhail Pugovkin will be shown in the cinema room all day. Six films were selected for the program, and most of them are little known. Shows for children will start at 10:00. The children will watch the films «Egorka», «Barbara-beauty, long braid» and «The New Adventures of Captain Vrungel». In these projects, the hero of the day played the main roles: boatswain, sea captain and fairy-tale king.

From 16:00, the screening of adult films will begin, in which Mikhail Pugovkin was also involved: the sports comedy Free Kick, the unforgettable Sportloto-82 and the action movie The Sixth.

The film studio also plans quizzes for children and adults, a thematic photo zone, a screening of film cuts with the participation of an actor, and a master class on street animation from film director Yuri Agapov.
