The investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yalta has completed an investigation into a criminal case against two local residents accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code (extortion committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, in order to receive property on an especially large amount, with the use of violence).
Earlier it was reported that in August last year, attackers pushed the 18-year-old resident of Yalta into the car and, intimidating the victim with physical reprisal, demonstrating the knife under the fictional excuse of non-existent debts in the amount of about 2 million rubles. Conducted by employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Yalta, operational-search measures, the illegal actions of these persons were documented and together with the employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, with the power support of the Rosgvardi special forces, the defendants were detained. The police gathered documentary evidence of the collusion of attackers and irrefutable evidence of the fictitious debt to them by the victim,-the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Republic of Crimea said.
The accused court elected a preventive measure in the form of house arrest, as well as detention.
The materials of the criminal case with the approved prosecutor’s office of the city of Yalta were transferred to the court for further consideration with the indictment.
