In Yalta, the prosecutor's office sent a criminal case of drunk driving to court

An indictment in a criminal case against a resident of the Voronezh region was approved in Yalta. He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act).
According to the preliminary investigation authorities, the accused, having been subjected to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and began driving a vehicle again in January of this year after consuming alcohol.
Driving in a Gili car along the Border with the Kherson Region — Simferopol — Alushta — Yalta highway, the man grossly violated the traffic rules by stopping the car on the roadway and leaving the car on the side of the road. The violation was recorded via video recording by other road users. The illegal actions of the accused were stopped by traffic police officers,” the prosecutor’s office provided details.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Yalta City Court for consideration on the merits. A negligent motorist faces serious punishment (except for the loss of a driver’s license) — from a large fine to 2 years in prison.
