Less than a month before the New Year — Yalta is preparing for the holiday. However, there will be no mass events for obvious reasons, but the city authorities promise to create a festive atmosphere, first of all, for children.

According to the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, plans include game programs, concerts, showing New Year’s films in a mobile Auto Club, events at the Glade of Fairy Tales, at the Chekhov Theater, cultural institutions, schools, and kindergartens.

The opening of the city Christmas tree and the start of New Year’s events will take place on December 19. This year we will add New Year’s lights to Yalta — as I have already said, no funds are allocated from the budget for these purposes, this is a gift to the city from the largest banks that operate in the region. We will install three New Year’s beauties at once — on Sovetskaya Square and two on Embankment. In villages, fir trees will be decorated in cultural centers and clubs,” noted Yanina Pavlenko.

On New Year’s Eve, Father Frost and the Snow Maiden will drive around the city in a themed car, and a festive fair will be organized on the embankment, near the round fountain.

In addition, on December 19 there will be a film screening for disabled children and children with disabilities. And throughout the day there will be a theatrical visit to children with severe forms of musculoskeletal diseases: Father Frost and Snow Maiden will come to visit them with gifts.

This is the 20th time such a tour of children has been carried out in Yalta. We want to organize this traditional congratulation not only on the 19th, but also on the 26th and 27th of December. We plan that we will congratulate not only the children, but also family members who are going through a difficult situation with the child. That’s only about 80 people,” said the head of the Yalta Department of Culture, Irina Grishko.

On December 30 and 31, from 15:00 to 18:00, festive New Year’s entertainment will be held at the main tree. Yalta residents and city guests will be able to take pictures with life-size puppets, and children will be able to take part in game programs. On these days, Yalta amateur groups and a professional group will also perform without setting up a stage.

In the area of ​​the square fountain there will be a multifunctional center “Cinema Club”, through which New Year’s films and cartoons will be shown.

On New Year’s Eve, an LED screen will be installed on the embankment, in the area of ​​the round fountain, on which congratulations from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the leadership of the Republic of Crimea and Yalta, specially prepared video content about the results of 2023, as well as musical New Year’s content will be broadcast.
