In Yalta they continue to record and eliminate the consequences of bad weather
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The weather is gradually stabilizing — we continue to record and eliminate the effects of precipitation. In the morning we are inspecting the retaining walls. In addition to the one that hit Sadovaya, another one hit YUBSH in the Nikita area (opposite the cross). The outbuilding was damaged, but overall the situation is stable and is under the control of Krymavtodor. For safety, the area was fenced off.
The damage to part of the wall in Nikita was personally inspected by the deputy head of the Yalta administration, Yuri Zhuravlev, who oversees the housing and communal services sector. He also paid special attention to the condition of the engineering structures of the Vodopadnaya River bed in the area of Pionersky Park.
The fortifications in the river bed are damaged on both sides, there is subsidence and movement of the soil. We are waiting for the verdict of the landslide control department and other specialists, and we are working on options for further actions. We have stabilized the situation in Alupka, in Koreiz we are trying to return the rapid flow of water from the street to the storm drain. In other settlements there are also flooding of private households, basements, sediments on the roadsnotes Yuri Zhuravlev.
He also clarified that city services are currently continuing to work — crews are clearing storm drains in problem areas, sawing and removing fallen trees, and clearing sediment and stones — manually and using machinery.
