In Yalta, two local residents recruited by the SBU were detained. Prepared terrorist attacks in the Crimea

FSB operatives detained two residents of Yalta who collaborated with the Ukrainian special services and expressed their readiness to commit sabotage and terrorist acts at military facilities in Crimea. This was reported by the Center for Public Relations (CSP) of the FSB of Russia.

Two residents of the Republic of Crimea were detained, suspected of collaborating on a confidential basis with the special services of Ukraine. It was established that residents of Yalta, born in 1980 and 1983, initiated cooperation with a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine, who was given information about the socio-political, economic and military situation on the peninsula. In addition, these persons offered their services in photo and video filming of objects of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the interests of the Ukrainian special services, and also expressed their readiness to commit sabotage and terrorist acts against military installations in the territory of the Republic of Crimeathe message says.

According to a video circulated by the DSP, special forces detained both men while fishing. After that, they were taken to their places of residence, where searches were carried out in their presence and hard drives were seized from computers.

The Investigative Department of the Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol initiated criminal cases against the detainees under Art. 275.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization), which was introduced into the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in July last year and provides for imprisonment for a term of 3 to 8 years with a possible additional fine of up to 1 million rubles.

By decision of the Kievsky District Court of Simferopol, the suspects were taken into custody. Investigative actions and operational search activities are being carried out to collect the evidence base and establish all the circumstances of the crime.
