In Yalta, two men were caught trying to sell prohibited substances

When checking operational information, employees of the drug control department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta established the involvement of a 37-year-old citizen and his 32-year-old accomplice in activities related to drug trafficking.
Police officers identified a 37-year-old intruder and detained him red-handed while trying to sell prohibited substances in the city of Yalta. Detectives from the Drug Control Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta, together with the suspect, inspected areas of the area, according to the coordinates at which they had placed caches. As a result of operational activities, police discovered and seized 2 packages with a powdery substance and 2 more with a substance of plant origin. The attacker explained that the packages contained a narcotic drug, which he left in hiding places in the city for the purpose of sale. According to the expert opinion, the seized total weight of 0.25 grams is a narcotic drug derived from N-methylephedron, so called salt, the second sample with a total weight of 0.8 grams is the narcotic drug “cannabis” (marijuana), notes the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
As a result of operational activities, employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta, together with colleagues from the regional FSB Directorate, detained the second defendant, who was trying to hide in a neighboring city.
Law enforcement officers identified all the caches placed by the 32-year-old suspect and seized 3 packages with a substance of plant origin and 4 packages with a powdery substance from illegal circulation.
According to the results of the study, samples with a total mass of 10.52 grams were found to be a narcotic drug derived from N-methylephedron (salt), and samples with a total mass of 3.25 grams were the narcotic drug “cannabis” (marijuana).
The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta opened a criminal case against the suspects on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal production, sale or transfer of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal sale or transfer of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or their parts containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years.
Currently, the 32-year-old suspect has been given a preventive measure in the form of detention, and the 37-year-old has been prohibited from certain actions.
