In Yevpatoria, a fraudster from Armyansk took 735 thousand rubles from a pensioner

In Yevpatoria, police detained a fraudulent courier who was operating under the scheme “Your relative got into an accident.” As the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea said, even “conspiracy means” could not save the 37-year-old resident of Armyansk.
It turned out that the pensioner gave a payoff in the amount of 735 thousand rubles for saving her granddaughter. To solve this crime, criminal investigation officers carried out a set of operational-search measures, as a result of which the bribe carrier was identified and detained.
The detainee confessed to her crime. Having received 10 percent of the amount donated by the pensioner as earnings, in order not to be caught, the woman even changed her clothes in the toilet of a nearby cafe. However, the measures of secrecy did not work and the very next day operatives detained her at her place of residence.the police said.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The fraudster faces imprisonment for up to six years.
Currently, measures are being taken to establish additional episodes of illegal activities of the detainee. Anyone who has suffered from the actions of the alleged attacker is asked to contact the nearest police department or call 102.
